May has been a milestone month for the Futures Institute at Dollar Academy (FIDA), with visible progress on-site and expanding opportunities for learners across Scotland.
Robertson Construction is now officially on campus, beginning preparatory work for the Futures Institute building – a major step forward in realising our new Futures Institute Building.
Meanwhile, the International Sustainability Diploma continues to grow. Fourteen schools have signed up to deliver the qualification next session, and a new Level 5 Certificate, developed in partnership with Glasgow Clyde College, will extend the benefits of project-based learning to younger pupils.
Back on campus, Junior 1 pupils have completed a year-long project exploring threats to local wildlife, culminating in creative, practical solutions tied to the UN’s May SDG focus: Life on Land.
With generous support continuing from alumni and families — including a significant donation this month — the FIDA community is helping to shape the future of education.
